The Yukon Wholistic Health Network began with a small group of people in the Yukon who had concern with Health Canada's new natural health products regulation. The group asked to meet with our local Member of Parliament to find out more details on how the regulation would affect access to natural health products in Canada. He suggested that we form a group to be able to access information more easily. A few days later a small group gathered at a local restaurant and a network was born.

In the meantime the collective consciousness of wholistic practitioners and supporters in the Yukon were also ready to form a cohesive network not only to address the government concerning wholistic health but to celebrate and support one another with education, networking and sharing.

YWHN Mandate

• To promote Wholistic Health in the Yukon through Education, Networking, and Advocacy, in support of practitioners and interested people alike.
• To promote good health practice and informed decision making

YWHN Mission

The YWHN will actively network with others to increase public awareness and access to wholistic health, wellness and healing options through communication, education and advocacy. Mutual education and support among collaborating health, wellness and healing practitioners and supporter-members will be encouraged through visionary applied research and organizational development.

YWHN Vision

The YWHN sees a Yukon and global community where health, wellness and healing promoting choices are made by individuals and communities that are knowledgeable about wholistic options.

Networks of committed people are actively working toward healing the planet and all of the people while operating from their own truth and higher wisdom.

Healthcare is comprehensive and includes the integration of affordable wholistic options for prevention of illness and injury, health promotion and treatment. These options support personal responsibility and healthy choices.

Information, services and supports are accessible to all who need them and are provided within a sense of collective responsibility for healthy environments.

There is provision of a range of health options through collaboration across disciplines as well as policy and programs.
